Dr. Yong Shik Shin, MD

Dr. Yong Shik Shin is a graduate of the Ewha Women’s Medical College in Seoul Korea where she received her doctorate in Psychiatry in 1969. She served as an intern there and also later at Nazareth Hospital in Philadelphia. She went on to complete her residencies at Philadelphia General Hospital, Jefferson Unit Psychiatric Department in 1972 and the Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Psychiatric Department in 1974, both in Philadelphia. Her vast and highly successful clinical experience includes the following titles:

  • Staff Psychiatrist, Pottstown Community Mental Health Care Center
  • Medical Director, Pottstown Community Mental Health Care Center
  • Assistant Unit Director, Eugenia Psychiatric Hospital
  • Women’s Unit Director, Eugenia Psychiatric Hospital
  • Unit Director, Pottstown Memorial Medical Center
  • Medical Director, Progressions Senior Day Program

Presently, she serves as the Unit Director of the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center where she is affiliated in addition to maintaining her own private practice since 1988 in the Pottstown area.

Dr. Shin is an active member of the APA.

Dr. Jacob Trachtenberg, MD

Dr. Trachtenberg is a board certified general psychiatrist who treats adults 22 years of age and older. He has been practicing since 1975. He is skilled in the medication management of depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders and psychotic disorders.

Dr. Sachidanand Kamtam, MD

Dr. Kamtam attended medical school in India. He moved to the U.S. in 1999. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Delaware Psychiatric Center in 2007 and continued his fellowship at Drexel University College of Medicine where he was appointed Chief Resident in the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Residency Program, receiving an award for exemplary service. Following his fellowship, he became Medical Director of the Partners Program at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center where he remained until 2011. In addition to his new position at Yong Shik Shin and Associates, he is also a Consultant Psychiatrist in Allentown where he has been since 2011. Dr. Kamtam is board certified in both Adult Psychiatry and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

We are excited to have Dr. Kamtam with us and look forward to his contribution on behalf of all of our clients, especially those 14 and under.

Dr. Sujana Reddy Kurri MD, MBA

Dr. Sujana Reddy Kurri MD, MBA is a Board Certified Psychiatrist with 20 years of experience in the field of psychiatry. Dr. Kurri completed her Residency training at Albany Medical Center, NY and has experience in both inpatient and outpatient care for various disorders pertinent to emotional problems, behavioral health and substance abuse.

Along with Clinical experience Dr. Kurri has extensive pharmaceutical experience in drug development at Wyeth, Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson.  Dr. Kurri has various publications and has participated in key opinion leader conferences and presentations.

Dr. Kurri has received an exemplary award for productivity during her time at Wyeth pharmaceuticals.

Robert Lee, Psy. D.

Dr. Lee is licensened Psychologist in the state of Pennsylvania. He provides psychotherapy services to adults, adolescents and children. Dr. Lee also conducts psychological assessments and testing.

Dr. Lee graduated from Indiana University where he double-majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice. He then began his doctoral training at Immaculata University. There he attained his Master’s and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. His dissertation research focused on the differential diagnosis of Bipolar Disorder with Opioid Dependent persons.

Dr. Lee has worked in community clinics serving individuals with mental health and substance abuse disorders. His training experiences included outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as crisis intervention.

Elizabeth (Lisa) Clark, CRNP

Elizabeth “Lisa” Clark is a graduate of Drexel University with her Master of Science in Nursing. She is board certified as an Adult Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) through the ANCC. Prior to graduation, Lisa was working as a psychiatric nurse primarily with adolescents and adult populations in the inpatient setting. Lisa has two undergraduate degrees, a BA in Psychology and a BS in Nursing from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA and a Fine Arts degree from Montgomery County Community College. Lisa spent the first 10 years of her career in the field of mental health working in the Lehigh Valley. Lisa has always been passionate about working with chronically mentally ill and behaviorally challenged individuals. Her ability to connect with the patient is what she feels is her greatest strength. No one leaves her office feeling as if they were not listened to or heard. She is delighted to be working in Montgomery County which is where she has lived for the past 45 years. She feels this is the opportunity she has been waiting for…to serve in the community in which she lives.

Karen K. Brown, LCSW

Karen is a licensed clinical social worker with a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor’s Degree in Youth Services from Davis and Elkins College. Karen has over 20 years of experience working with children, adolescents, families and adults. She also has a Certificate in Aging from the Boston University School of Social Work Institute for Geriatric Social Work and has expanded her practice to meeting the needs of older adults. She also specializes in ADHD, school related issues, anxiety, depression bipolar, grief and loss, trauma and abuse for those ages 10 and up.

Karen Daigneault, MA, LPC

Karen comes to the office with over 25 years of experience in the counseling field. She has treated children, adolescents, and adults providing individual, group, couple, and family therapy. Her expertise exists in working with abuse and trauma. She also has many years of experience working with the autistic population.

Karen received her Bachelor f Science Degree in Criminal Justice from Kutztown University. She received her Master of Arts Degree in Counseling Psychology with a Subspecialty in Marital and Family Therapy from Kutztown University. She has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2005. In addition, Karen has been appointed by the Governor to complete assessments for the Parole Board.

Karen is an asset to the office due to her extensive knowledge in the Mental Health field and her ability to connect with her patients to provide them with the best treatment for their needs.

Michael Ermalinksi, MS, LPC

Michael Ermalinski is a licensed professional counselor practicing for 24 years. Mr. Ermalinski works with adults on a variety of issues such as: mood/anxiety disorders, anger management, additions, couples/marital therapy. Mr. Ermalinski’s approach is eclectic, with an emphasis on research-based clinical modalities that reflect the highest and current standards.

Kate Fullam, LCSW

Kate earned her master’s degree at the University of Pennsylvania and is a licensed clinical social worker. She has additional certification and training in EMDR, peers, pairs, and is an approved, certified mediator for the court system. She also worked as a clinical supervisor at Renfrew Treatment Center in Philadelphia, PA where she specialized in all types of eating disorders. In addition to the credentials listed, Ms. Fullam is also trained and highly experienced in co-parenting for high conflict divorce. Other areas of expertise and experience include adoption, attachment, and clients with trauma or post traumatic stress. EMDR and tapping are some of her treatment modalities.

Richie Hawkins, LCSW

Mr. Hawkins comes to this practice with 38 years experience in inpatient, partial and outpatient settings.  Richie earned his B.S. in Social Work in 1977 from West Chester University.  He completed his M.S.W. in 1986 at Temple University.  Richie is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, and has earned his Academy of Certified Social Worker and Qualified Clinical Social Worker credentials.

Richie has extensive background in helping others cope with depression, anxiety and mood disorders.  Mr. Hawkins also has long experience working with substance abuse and it’s impact on coping with emotions.  He uses evidenced based practice; mindfulness and meditation in helping each individual develop a personal recovery lifestyle.

Phyllis C. Littman, LCSW

Phyllis Littman is a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing in the suburbs of Philadelphia for approximately thirty years.  Most recently she has been at Pottstown Memorial Medical Center’s Center for Behavioral Medicine.  Currently Phyllis is serving as a mobile therapist in a variety of assisted living facilities.  Phyllis has worked in multiple psychiatric hospitals and with a variety of populations throughout her career.  She enjoys practicing social work, jogging, playing tennis and spending time with family and friends.

Ronald Sabadish, LCSW

Ronald Sabadish is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of disease management experience helping adults/older adults face the challenges of a wide variety of physical and mental health issues, loss, and lifestyle change related problems. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of issues including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive compulsive disorder. Mr. Sabadish understands that not everyone needing help has the mobility or means to come into our office; his unique approach values your time restraints and he will save you time, energy, & money by extending the courtesy to travel to your home at your convenience up to twice a week to diagnose and treat your issues at absolutely no extra cost. He uses only evidence-based approaches & best practices that work well in the real world.

Of special interest to Mr. Sabadish are medical/psychiatric issues with an expertise concerning how chronic medical conditions impact one’s emotional well-being & the corollary of how emotion states impact an individual’s physical health. Particular consideration is given to caregiver issues as well.

Shelle Savill, LPC

Shelle is a licensed professional counselor. She holds a Master’s degree from Immaculata University. She has also has extensive post-graduate education in psychology. Her approach is psychodynamic where she focuses on the therapeutic relationship between the client and therapist to resolve emotional distress and improve daily functioning. She has over 10-years experience working with a variety of mental health disorders, including depression, bipolar, anxiety, trauma, grief, PTSD, and substance abuse. She believes safety, trust, compassion, and empathy are key factors in promoting long-term change.

Dan Stahlberger, LPC, NCC

Daniel is a licensed professional counselor. He holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees from West Chester University. Daniel also holds an NCC (National Certified Counselor) credential through the National Board for Certified Counselors.

Daniel’s professional experience includes working for The Lincoln Center for Family and Youth where he worked as a mobile therapist with families and teens on issues from managing ADHD to adjustment disorders. Daniel has also worked in both agency and school settings as a counselor for Berks Counseling Center in Reading and as an outpatient therapist for the Reading High School. While at these settings, Daniel has worked with both adults of all ages and teens on issues including but not limited to: substance abuse, PTSD/trauma, bereavement, anger management, mental health, co-occuring disorders and senior issues. Daniel specializes in mood disorders, loss/grief counseling, trauma counseling, group counseling, and co-occuring disorders.

Michele Weeks, LPC

Michel Weeks is a licensed therapist with a Master’s in Agency Counseling. She has 20 years experience working in a hospital in a dual-diagnosis unit; as a therapist in alternative schools specializing in behavior changes in teens; and as an outpatient therapist. Her therapeutic approach is CBI-base.

Sandy Weiner, LCSW

Sandy Weiner welcomes individuals, couples, and families. She uses a holistic approach and believes in the mind body connection to achieve a sense of safety and contentment. She creates an environment that helps her clients’ feel safe and understood. When working specifically with couples, Ms. Weiner helps couples improve their styles of communication with each other while assisting in learning the art of compromise and accommodation to meet each others needs. She focuses on the concepts of love and acceptance while taking one day at a time. Additionally, Ms. Weiner has extensive experience working with mood disorders. She has over 20 years of counseling experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families.

Ms. Weiner is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). She received her PsyD from Southern California University of Professional Studies, her Masters degree from Adelphi University, and her Bachelor’s degree from the State University of New York (SUNY). Ms. Weiner is a published author of the book entitled Perseverance, about bipolar disorder in women. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Don Weinstein, MS

Donald Weinstein, M.S. is a master’s level Pennsylvania licensed Psychologist who has been with Yong Shik Shin, MD and Associates for the past six years. He works with individuals (children, adolescents and adults), couples, and families, specializing in utilizing short-term, goal-oriented approaches to deal with behavioral problems, relationship issues, parenting issues, communication problems, as well as health-related issues and work-related problems.

In addition to working as a Psychologist, Don also provides mediation services for families referred from the Family Court in Montgomery County to resolve custody issues. He is also a crisis intervention specialist for a national crisis network, working with business and industry to manage work-related crises.

Barbara Wilhelmy, LCSW

Barbara Wilhelmy is a licensed clinical social worker with more than thirty years of clinical experience in inpatient, outpatient, partial and residential settings. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Moravian College and her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Marywood College Graduate School of Social Work. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers and has earned the credential of Qualified Clinical Social Worker. Additionally, she is a disaster mental health provider for the American Red Cross.

Barbara has extensive experience working with adults in the areas of depression, anxiety, mood disorders, grief and loss, trauma, stress management and women’s issues. She works with individuals and couples using a client-centered approach to therapy. She uses a variety of treatment approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy and Christian counseling.
